The count down begins for Emma Watson

According to the media reports, the speech made by Emma Watson at the UN headquarters in New York, shocks everyone by such fabulous clarity and focus on particular issue. The former Harry Potter actress talked for 15 minutes on the “HeForShe” project, saying she wanted to galvanise as many men and boys as possible in the biggest attempt yet to prove that feminism is not synonymous with man-hating.

The website, www.emmayouarenext.com, features a 4chan logo, a badly rendered snap of Watson apparently crying, and a countdown clock with about three and a half days left to run. Anonymous comments on a moron-infested 4chan.org board said Watson’s nude pictures would be leaked online when the countdown reaches zero.

The reaction is Lewis’ law writ large. That law, first articulated by journalist Helen Lewis, states that the hateful response by anonymous critics to any woman writing or talking about feminism justifies the need for feminism. It is reported that Hollywood star is receiving some serious threat regarding her naked pictures. The hackers have started the countdown. They have threat celebrity by saying that:

“Emma you are the next.”

The post further added that:

” Brace yourself. you have only 4 days..”

The response was immense and the backlash almost immediate. On Tuesday morning, Watson was targeted by users from the internet forum 4chan, apparently those who are thought to be behind the recent release of naked pictures of celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton.

Meanwhile, on Twitter, trolls are tweeting #RIPemmawatson to push bogus reports that the talented British actress has shuffled off this mortal coil.
