Pakistan test fires Hatf IX missile successfully
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan has conducted a successful test-fire today of short range surface-to-surface missile, Hatf-IX (Nasr), according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
ISPR said the test fire was conducted with successive launches of 4 x Missiles from a state of the art Multi Tube Launcher with Salvo Mode.
NASR, with a range of 60 km and in-flight maneuver capability is a quick response system, with shoot and scoot attributes. It contributes to the full spectrum deterrence against the prevailing threat spectrum, ISPR said.
The flight test was witnessed by the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Rashad Mahmood, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, Lieutenant General Obaid Ullah Khan, Chairman NESCOM, Muhammad Irfan Burney, senior officers from the strategic forces and scientists and engineers of strategic organizations.
