Pakistan provides huge investment opportunities to investors: PM

ISLAMABAD:  Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, while talking to Chairman Open Society Foundation George Soros said that Pakistan provide huge investment opportunities to investors.

According to the sources, while talking to Chairman Open Society Foundation in New York, he lauded Foundation’s work in Pakistan. He said that the steps being taken by the Government to universalize primary education and increase investment in Pakistan.

He appreciated the Foundation’s work in Pakistan, including its rehabilitation and reconstruction projects after the 2005 earthquake and the recent floods, as well as establishment of Lahore based think-tank, the Institute of Development and Economic Alternatives.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in New York to address the sixty-ninth session of the UN General Assembly.

During his stay in New York, the Prime Minister would also be holding bilateral meetings with his counterparts and co-hosting the UN Peacekeeping Summit with Vice President Joe Biden, the UN Secretary-General, President of Rwanda and the Prime Ministers of Japan and Bangladesh.
