NASA: Water found on unknown planet!

NASA: Scientist found traces of water on unknown planet.

mars-water-lakeAccording to the media reports, the water has been found on a planet 729 trillion miles away from Earth by NASA’s Hubble and Spitzer telescopes.
It is reported that the data has been picked by NASA space telescopes . It is reported that the samples contain vapour of water. Water vapour was found on the planet HAT-P-11b, which is about the size of the gas giant Neptune, and is the smallest and coldest outside the solar system known to contain H2O molecules, Daily Mail reported.
According to the findings, the planet is too close to its host star with a temperature of about 600°C (1,112°F) for even the most primitive microbes to develop. It also might have a rocky core wrapped in a thick hydrogen gas and atmosphere is cloudless at high altitude. Dips in light was measured as the planet passed in front of its star. This helped researchers to find chemical signatures in its atmosphere, the report stated. Transmission spectroscopy, which measures dips in light as the planet passes in front of its host star to identify the signs of water vapour, was used by the researchers.
Craters in Mars

Earlier it has only been possible to measure the atmospheric compositions of larger extrasolar planets. If true, the sighting would be an important step to finding habitable planets like our own in the future.
If we look precisly in our own solar system, the only water clouds known of are on Earth and Mars. In bigger planets like Jupiter and Saturn, they are too cold and ammonia ice clouds cover suspected water clouds below.
